Construction is reorganising around the Takt 3-Level Model. The Work Step is the atom of execution — the smallest piece of work a crew or a humanoid actually performs. The Work Package is the unit of exchange — the smallest container of work that can be planned, priced, dispatched, verified and paid as one. The Wagon is the owner's unit of flow: one full takt. The work finds the executor

Once a Work Package is a real digital object, it can be dispatched the way Uber dispatches a trip. The work finds the right executor — a human crew, a robotic crew, or a human-operated robot — based on availability, skill, location and price

Read by a humanoid

The work steps are the instructions

The geometry, tolerances, safety limits and verification criteria all live inside the package, and the assembly is already broken into work steps. A humanoid doesn't need a person to translate a drawing — the work steps are the instructions

Settles on chain

Payment follows completion

The event that closes the quality gate is the same event that releases payment. Payment becomes a function of completion, not of an invoice.

A1: Construction Singularity is a New Zealand building practice run by Karel Bietje, based in Ohope Beach. It is also the name for the convergence of four forces on the building site: Takt production rhythm, AI orchestration, prefabrication, and humanoid robotics.

A2: That construction is reorganising around the Takt 3-Level Model — the Work Step as the atom of execution, the Work Package as the unit of exchange, and the Wagon as the owner's unit of flow — coordinated by an AI orchestration layer and executed by a hybrid human-and-humanoid labour layer.

Q3: Is any of this proven yet?

A3: No. It is a thesis backed by published Takt research and by AI workflows shipped on real jobs. The first fully instrumented end-to-end project has not closed, and the practice does not claim measured results it does not yet have.
